Shelley Mager

Marketing Maven and
Chief Marketing Strategist

For over 20 years, the founder of Clover Hill Marketing has forged her career on a handful of core beliefs:

bullet If something is worth doing, it’s worth doing right.
bullet There is almost always more than one solution to any marketing problem.
bullet To succeed in business, you must never lose sight of customer needs.
bullet Keep an open mind and always be able to adapt to any situation.
bullet Never rest on your laurels.
bullet And above all, do what you love …and the rest will follow.

Prior to launching Clover Hill Marketing, Shelley earned her stripes working for both ad agencies and Fortune 500 companies. She has been recognized as a top producer and is a highly-regarded executive advisor.

Most recently Shelley worked for Ingram Micro, the world’s largest distributor of technology, where she served in a variety of senior management roles in Product Marketing, Logistics, Global Brand Management, Business Operations and Project Management, and Strategic Marketing. She even earned the prestigious Award of Excellence for her hand in launching the company’s extensive new business model, Choice Advantage.

Shelley began her career as a PR intern for a well-known Senator, and discovered her passion for communicating and promoting. Following her graduation from Cal State Fullerton, she took a job with a small agency managing a high-tech OEM account and learned the fine art of media planning, account service and production.

At Carlson Travel Network (formerly Ask Mr. Foster Travel), Shelley drove business for 465 Western region stores. She negotiated co-op advertising partnerships, developed travel offerings, created print and direct mail campaigns, and orchestrated highly-successful travel events.

Shelley moved to Townsend & O’Leary and supervised the Uniglobe Travel account, leading her team to create award-winning print and broadcast advertising, marketing tool kits, and web marketing. She also traveled throughout the U.S. and Canada to provide Uniglobe franchisees with marketing training. On behalf of Uniglobe, Shelley produced CNN Travel Channel infomercials, which aired in 20 major airports across the U.S. She also dabbled in business development, landing the CarStar Automotive account for T&O.

After T&O, Shelley oversaw brand development for the new formats division of 76 Products. She created advertising and in-store marketing for FastBreak convenience stores, as well as seasonal promotions. She also managed the development of the AutoPulse brand image (automotive services), and produced marketing programs for the Western region dealers prior to her transition to Ingram.

Shelley is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), and is also involved in a number of marketing trade organizations.

With her experience-rich background, Shelley prides herself on her ability to communicate clearly, simplify the toughest problems, and exceed her clients’ expectations.  And now Shelley wants to put her expertise and know-how to work for you.  Contact her today.
